Burzum

Burzum is one of my all time favorite black metal bands. I really like how Burzum is a one man band, with Varg Vikernes playing all of the instruments. Varg inspired me to get an eight track and record my own one man project(I do not find him Inspiron because of his bro nazis in and murders. Look it up). I seem to notice that all the great black metal musicians have to be psychopaths of one sort or another.

Movie

I enjoyed the movie we watched I'm class. All of the guitarists that were in the film were pretty talented. Although Jack White seemed a little to hipster, even for a musician. I related to when they said how much it sucks when you reach a blank when writing a song. It happens to me all the time.

Gorgoroth

I am currently listening to one of my favorite black metal bands Gorgoroth. Gorgoroth is one of the bigger Norwegian black metal bands. Their former lead singer And personally my favorite lead singer Gaahl was a homosexual psychopath who tortured a man, forcing him to daring a cup of his own blood, claiming he did it in self defence(by the way I do not like him because of his crazy ways). My favorite album would have to Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam, I'd reccomend giving it a listen.

Beatles Movie

Let me first start off by saying I can't tell if the is a children's movie or a stoner movie. The type of humor in the movie is fairly childish, although their are some moments when their would be a dirty joke or too, but they're subtle enough to where it could still be in a child's movie. I would also like to note that the movie seemed just a tad bit racist toward Indians. Actually scratch that, it seems really racist against Indians. But nonetheless the movie is still really weird and a little hard to follow. I personally found it to be a little bad, however I am a huge fan of British humor, but this movie just was not all that funny in my opinion. The main chick totally looked like a dude.

Death.fm

Death.fm is defiantly my favorite radio station. It plays the type of metal that fits my taste, which is: melodic, dark, ambient and the occasional fast-paced guttural death metal. I have to credit Death.fm with introducing me to metal. I remember as if it was yesterday, I was in 7th grade, being bored in my keyboarding class. I was scrolling through the iTunes radio stations, and I came across Death.fm. At first I was a little skeptical of the music, having only listened too the mass fabricated pop music of the masses(96.7 which I hate with a passion)the intense, dark and melodic sound was completely new to me. At first the blast beats from the drums sounded off, it sounded as if the snare was constantly out of rhythm. But the more I listened to it, the more it started to fall into place with the rest of the band. That was when I started to hear the music as a whole, and when I found my musical soul mate.

I have also recently discoverer that death.fm is now censored by the school internet. I waiting for the day when the aisd web filter will start saying "category: fun; happiness; joy; free speech, is not allowed."

What I am currently listening too

I have been recently enjoying the lovely sound of the Australian Doom Metal band Mournful Congregation. Its a nice change from the usual ultra-fast pace of my usual death and black metal. I love Mournful Congregation's slow pace, it gives it a nice heavy sound while also still containing some nice melodic elements. I would post a video of them, but I am using the schools ultra-censored internet so I can't. Although I will leave you with a song to look up if you are interested. Remembrance of the Transcending Moon is a good one. The average length of Mournful Congregation's songs tend to be at around 10 min. If you enjoy the ambient element of music, then you might find this band enjoyable.

Blog

The Beach Boys are an okay band. In my opinion they sound a whole lot like the Beatles, they have that same pop-rockish sound. Although if I had to choose between the two, I would have to go with the Beatles because they have a sound that I find more enjoyable as opposed to the Beach Boys' ultra-happy "ooooooowoooo" kinda thing they got going on. However, I do think that the album pet sounds is one of their better albums, mostly because its something different besides the same old surfing, cars, and girls.

What I am currently listening too

I've recently been getting back into the old school Metallica stuff. Which constitutes as anything before the Black Album. I have to say that Metallica really started to go down hill once Cliff Burton died.

I have also been working on some of my black metal album, I'm currently still in the process of writing up all the musical parts. I have most of the guitar and bass down, but drums is a completely different story. And don't even get me started on lyric writing. I should hopefully have something recorded and finalized by the end of the next month.

Rolling Stones

I would have to say that I prefer the Beatles over the Rolling Stones. The Rolling Stones just sound really loud and obnoxious, they're guitars are way to loud and the solos are way too long and boring. They sound like just a bunch of muddy interments that have been slapped together to try to make music. I thought the stones would of been good, considering how it seems that almost everyone seems to think that they are really good, but I would have to agree with Mr. A on this one, the stones are over-rated. The stones also don't really seem to be very innovative in terms of music writing, all of their songs sound the same: loud and muddy.

Stuff im currently listening to

Alright, so I have started to re listen to a lot of the older British shit. I just love the dark ominous sound that is signature to our imperialist friends, the Brits. I've specifically been listening to the two bands Asphyx and Bolt Thrower. I love the doom metal breaks that seem to be in almost every Asphyx song. It is a nice slow, calm before the storm, impending doom sound. Now I like Bolt Thrower for their theme. They sing about the horrors of war, historical battles and wars, and manage to have some pretty kick ass guitar riffs thrown in as well. Now I'll leave you people with an example from each. Enjoy.

Beatles

Alright, so I'm still not to big a fan of the Beatles music, but I do however, like them as people. They seem pretty cool, and they also seem to have everything figured out. I also respect them in that they are a pretty big part of music history. They also seem like they'd be pretty fun to hang out with, I dig their witty British humor. I still just can't really get into their music, its just too happy and just sounds like the very beginning of pop music to me.

Beatles

I've never been into the Beatles. I think they are okay but I just don't like them, there music just doesn't interest me. I have found that all of there songs are just too slow and not melodic enough for me. A big part of music for me is the instruments, and the Beatles seem to me to be more vocal based than I like my music, the sound that Beatles have is just too boring for me. What I absolutely cannot stand is when people ask me if i like the Beatles and I say "no." they always seem to flip out and then they try to force their opinions on me. I do not care if they are the best band in world, I still just don't like them.

P.S. If there were to be a balls out conventional war with China and the U.S., China would seem like they would win, but their troop quality is piss poor compared to the average U.S. soldier. Chinese military doctrine indicates that infantry will charge en mass into melee with the enemy, only firing their guns from the hip to suppress the enemy. The Chinese would due to the U.S. gunning all of them down with our superior firepower. take massive casualties and they would lose the support for the war. Plus the Chinese would have to defeat the U.S. Navy if it wanted to invade us, and we have the best Navy in the world.

What im listening to

The band that I am currently into right now is Ceremonial Castings. They are a pretty sweet black metal band that is from the north west, and these guys have been out spreading the holy word of Satan since 1996. I started to get into them when I was listening to death.fm and I heard the awesome guitar intro of: A Thousand Fires.  It sounded like it was a "call to battle" if you will, that was calling me to stop zoning out and listen to this great song that will, as the kids are saying these days "blow your hat back". The rest of the song was what I found to be pretty good, I also found that the keyboard in the song was just as crazy as the guitar riffs and such.

About me

The genera of music that I am most passionate about is metal. I specifically really like black metal because of the harmonic sound that it possess, and it's "beautiful" atmospheric sound that it posses. Here is an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPxfIMSTRp4. I've also been playing guitar and bass for about 6 years and I am currently working on my own black metal album.
